From 24 to 27 April 2024, on the Gallura fields, 40 teams of Italian and foreign under-14 football teams and for the first time a South Americanteam will be present. Among the new features alsolive races.

The “Manlio Selis” world tournament, the “Mundial for clubs”, from this edition under 14, returns with the 27th edition scheduled from 24 to 27 April on the fields of Gallura.

The most important Italian and foreign professional clubs and amateur clubs from all over Italy will stop on the island to take part in an event that has now become a point of reference for the sports and tourism programming of the Sardinia Region , sponsor of the event, and with the patronage of FIGC, LND, Lega Serie A and Lega Serie C.

THE MUNICIPALITIES. There will be 8 municipalities that will host the event in their facilities with 10 groups in the preliminary phases: Olbia, Loiri Porto San Paolo, Buddusò, Luras, Budoni, Monti, Calangianus and Arzachena, home of the Final.

THE PRESS CONFERENCE. The 27th edition of the “Manlio Selis” – Le Coq Sportif Cup was presented today in the conference room of the Ea Bianca Luxury Resort in Baja Sardinia.

VIDEO SPOT. The morning opened with the screening of the VIDEO SPOT of the Tournament, an unmissable and long-awaited moment. The short film, once again directed by Giovanni Loriga and Enrico Pinna, retraced Sardinia through the municipalities hosting the event, with evocative images of great emotional impact. Three boys, coming from three different and distant places, each with their own football myths in their eyes and hearts, arrive on the island to participate in the Selis Tournament. For them, united by the common embrace of this land, which welcomes and offers glimpses of great beauty and mystery, the emotion is the same. Inside the video there is also a tribute to one of the myths, a legend of this island, Gigi Riva. the underlying theme is the slogan Sardinia – Island of legends.

The host of the conference was the journalist Alessandro Alciato who, together with the patron of the event Enea Selis, illustrated the many new features of this 27th edition.

• For the first time in the history of the Tournament, a South American team will be at the starting line, Cordoba’s Talleres. Also pleased to greet this “historic” moment is a special video sent by Javier Zanetti, last year’s Lifetime Achievement Award winner for Selis who began his extraordinary career in the Argentine team.
• Another important innovation concerns live matches thanks to the partnership signed with Veo, a leading company in the portable camera sector developed specifically for football with which to automatically record and broadcast matches live. “What drives Veo is the objective of democratizing technology in sport, making it accessible at all levels and encouraging the growth of young athletes in particular” – states Riccardo Mele, Marketing Manager Italy of Veo – “These values align perfectly with those of the Selis Tournament, and that is why I am enthusiastic about this partnership.”
• Selis is also growing on social media. After the result of one million views achieved last year for the video of the Final, in this edition it will be part of the Cronache di Spogliatoio community group born on social media but also a regularly registered newspaper, which has become the 2nd most influential press organ in Italy on the web and social media, with over one million and 100 thousand followers, the highest engagement rate in Italy among sports communities.
